a guide

come along with me, my fellow friend
on an adventure to love and greater understanding
let me show you the way you show yourself
how to be great without leaving the shelf

you need not change as you constantly flow
but getting it to stick is tricky you know
so every great while you may be standing still
but its just an illusion you desired to fill

on this path we tred, our feet are light
only heavy when we try to hold onto the great sights
well pass many often and some far between
just always remember theres more to be seen

the path may be perilous
dangerous indeed
but never give up
always be free

you needn't mind the thorns and bramble
they're just there to give you a scramble
offering new chances to remember your course
because at any point you can redirect your force

you can choose what you will see
who you will meet
and what you can be

you will guide yourself this time
on this road in your mind
always remember to help others on the way
because once in a while were all lead astray

you may find a young one doddling idly
be sure to guide them and treat them kindly
let your example be the guide
so your eyes can smile and your words can hide
